Situation
One Vision sells software to multi-location automotive groups. Its CEO, Perry Contini, describes the category plainly: automotive is one of the toughest markets to penetrate with outreach. Dealer groups get pitched constantly, the decision-makers are hard to reach, and a generic email gets deleted on sight.
Perry was looking for a transparent group that could run outreach for a software company in that market and show its work. He wanted new accounts, and he wanted to understand how the outreach was built so his own team could learn from it.
The goal was a signed customer from cold outreach, on a program that paid for itself.
What we built
A traditional cold email campaign, built properly. This win came from cold email on separate domains and inboxes, not from One Vision’s own domain. We set up dedicated sending domains, configured the technical records inbox providers look for, warmed the mailboxes up gradually and monitored them throughout.
A list built from scratch. We researched multi-location automotive groups and the people inside them who own the decision, then verified every address before a send. Over the program, the campaign contacted 2,019 leads.
Copy that gave something first. The emails offered value before any pitch and asked for a conversation, not a demo. We tested subject lines and openers from the first send and moved volume to the winners.
A human on every reply, and a booking process that worked. Interested replies were answered by a person, qualified against One Vision’s requirements and booked as calls. 40% of leads booked calls.
Paths less traveled. Perry’s words: “The team at Skyline found several paths that was let’s say less traveled in outreach marketing and got the job done, 5x value!” We tried angles that a standard appointment-setting playbook would skip, and one of them produced the account.
Knowledge transfer. Alongside the campaign, we helped One Vision’s own team build their lists and nurture them with the same techniques and tools. Perry called this the extra credit.
Results
Sixty days after launch, One Vision landed a $54,000-a-year client from a lead we sourced. The account came in through One Vision’s exclusive pilot offer at $4,397, and One Vision reports that its clients churn at under 2%, so a new account tends to stay.
Across the program, 40% of leads booked calls and 2,019 leads were contacted. The win came from a traditional cold email campaign on separate domains and inboxes, which is the point: the channel works in a hard market when the list, the infrastructure and the copy are built by hand.
Perry Contini’s public review, verbatim: “I found Lucas and Skyline Media because I was looking for a transparent group that could help our SaaS Company do outreach marketing. However our category is one of the toughest to penetrate, Automotive. The team at Skyline found several paths that was let’s say less traveled in outreach marketing and got the job done, 5x value! But the extra credit came when Lucas help me team build our own lists and nurture them with techniques and tech share by Skyline. Great job Lucas and team!”
What we would do next
- Add LinkedIn as the second touch. Dealer group executives who ignore email often answer a short personal video or a voice note on LinkedIn. The same list feeds both channels.
- Automate the reply desk. Our reply copilot classifies every reply, drafts the answer in One Vision’s voice and posts it for one-click approval, so the 40% book rate holds as volume grows.
- Turn the pilot offer into the opener. The offer that closed the first account becomes the first thing the next accounts see.
- Keep training the internal team. The list-building and nurture process we handed over becomes a written playbook, so it survives staff changes.
Sources and method. Source data: the campaign tracker for the program and Perry Contini’s public testimonial, July 2026. Leads contacted are the people who received the campaign. Leads who booked calls are interested replies that turned into a held call. Shared with permission. One Vision is named with the client’s approval, and the quotes are verbatim from Perry Contini’s public testimonial.
